Good morning 6th grade!
How are you doing? I hope you all are well.
Let's continue with our work on biographies. Last Monday you selected a person that you admire, investigated about him or her and created his or her time-line and filled a graphic organiser with information about his or her life.
Today we are going to work with that information. It is your turn to write a biography. How are we going to do it? Let's see a video:
As you have seen, you have already done the first two steps: you have decided on the person and collected some information about him or her. Make sure you have answered all the questions in step 2, because the answers will help you to write the biography.
Your work now is to WRITE your person's biography. You can do it by hand (and send me a picture) or you can do it with your computer and send me the file.
Remember some tips for making your biography amazing:
- Write it in chronological order. That means, start when the person is born and finish nowadays (if the person is alive) or when he or she dies.
- Do not write the questions from step 2 and then the answers. It is a biography, that means a composition (or in Spanish "redacción") that means you do not put questions and answers (that would look like an interview).
- Write complete sentences, but keep them as simple as you are comfortable with them.
- Look at the dictionary all the words that you are not sure how to spell.
- Tell his or her story!
That's all for today, remember to send me your work when it is finished.
Have a nice day!
